Just a few thoughts on the posts....1. 'Never the Same' argument: Seles fans dismiss her comeback claiming she was 'never the same after the stabbing' but she set a record for fewest games conceeded heading into the 1995 USOpen only to lose to Graf, in the US Open Final. 2. Ptsd/mental stress argument/ never the same part two: You claim mental stress ( ptsd) for seles after the stabbing and that she was 'never the same' but dismiss the mental stress graf endured when hounded by press over the sex scandal, divorce of her parents, tax fraud court case against her and her father with her father ultimately going to jail. Interestingly, these trials and tribulations coincide with Graf's dramatic dip in form from 1990-92 when seles dominates; why is it unacceptable to use Graf's trauma against seles's achievements during this period? Be consistent! 3. 'Graf's grand slams are 'phony': Seles fans dismiss Grafs GS wins post-stabbing and claim that she would not win these were Seles not stabbed- you do realize this is incredibly dismissive / insulting to all those players Graf beat, yes? 4. ' inferior competition when graf wins but worthy opponents when seles wins': Some of those players that Graf beat were the same players Seles beat to win her slam so which is it? Were they always weak players( therefore Seles Slams should be called into question?) Or they just turned 'weak' when Graf beat them? Try and see tge logic here and be consistent because you're weakening seles achievements when you make this argument. 5. Seles's head to head against Graf, even during Seles's dominance period, is not that great; and that period was during Grafs own mental trials and tribulations ( see #2 above); this FO final saw graf commit 60 unforced errors so hardly graf's cleanest performance and the best peak seles can do is 10-8 in the third. Sorry; that's not dominance. That is parity if I've ever seen it. A few short weeks later, Graf beats Seles 6-1 6-2 in the wimbledon final. THAT is a dominant scoreline. I will continue to enjoy both players' performance and lament 'what might have been'. Oh, and the most disturbing argument made by frustrated Seles fans is oddly the most disturbing given your claims of mental stress and dysfunction. Parche was mentally unhinged. In what advanced country that prides itself on Rule of Law and 'Mens Rea' in determing guilt and punishment do they hold mentally incompetent people to the same standard as those deemed mentally fit? Dont look now, but all your persuasive words of understanding for those who struggle with mental instability are proven empty. Be consistent.

the level of play of nadal between 2022 and today is so much different. He's much faster in 2022. amazing how just 2 years of aging does to an athlete in their late 30s

Luckily got last minute tickets to this match! Bought tickets to the day session thinking the Djokovic Nadal match might be on during the day but Alcaraz Zverez were scheduled instead. Most of the match between breaks of play was spent sprawling twitter/RG website to try get a tickets to the hottest show in town that night. Told this to a worker at the event while getting an espresso and he said "today might be your lucky day, please have your espresso over there and ill come find you shortly", as I waited by the the coffee stand he approached me 10 mins later and told me a colleague of his won tickets at work raffle for tickets and wasn't really a fan. Some donation was made by myself and the tickets were mine! Thank you RG coffee stand person, you made my day, month and year! Love from Ireland x

I am a fan of Djokovic, but I have never thought that he and Nadal have reached the same strength on clay, not even for a millimeter. I still think Nadal's strength on clay is on a different level. That is why I like Djokovic to challenge Nadal, who is unmatched on clay, and I am happy when Djokovic wins, and I am impressed with Nadal when Djokovic loses. The only thing I think about Djokovic on clay is that he is the only active player who has a chance to beat Nadal in all of French tennis. But I still think Nadal is much better than Djokovic at the French Open and I respect him a lot.

This tennis match was like holding my breathe for the entire time. I was scared, nervous, apprehensive and excited to see this rivalry show itself, once more. We all know what Nadal can do on clay, but especially on Court Philippe Chartrier. To see him, now in 2024, struggling and not half of what we all know he is, is difficult. We are here for you, Rafa, through the good times and the hard times.
